Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa, a resort hotel located at the foot of Oyama (Location: 1647-13 Nakaso, Maruyama, Hoki-cho, Saiho-gun, Tottori Prefecture / General Manager: Masaya Oshiro) will offer a new menu at the buffet from July 1 (Tuesday) to September 30 (Tuesday), 2025. "Nichinan Tomato" is characterized by its original firm sweetness, acidity and aroma of tomatoes by cultivation utilizing the difference in temperature between morning and evening in the rich nature of semi-high cold regions at an altitude of 400 to 600 m. (*) Using Nichinan tomatoes and vegetables for spicy pork spare ribs, beef burgers, red eye, etc., we developed a menu with the desire to fully enjoy the local ingredients from children to ADULTS.

■Introduction of the menu offered

 

1. Spicy pork spare ribs Semi Dry of Nichinan Tomato and Marina of eggplants from the prefecture
Soak the softly boiled spare rib into a sauce combined with Nichinan tomato puree and spice powder overnight, sprinkle a coarsely ground black pepper and bake it in an oven. As a companion, it is accompanied by semi-dry tomato, which condenses the taste of Nichinan tomatoes, and eggplant marina, which can feel the flavor of Shiso. It is a dish that enhances the rich taste of boned meat with the refreshing acidity and sweetness of Nichinan tomatoes.

2. Pickles of eggplants produced in the prefecture and beef burger of Nichinan tomato
A hamburger that combines pickles from the prefecture eggplant in summer and fruity Nichinan tomatoes with beef patties. As a topping, we also offer mayonnaise sauce using "Dune Lakkyo", a famous local specialty of Tottori. Nichinan tomatoes serve as an accent, and the more you chew with a juicy patty, the more flavor spreads.

3. Red eye made with tomato juice from Nichinan-cho.
You can enjoy red eye, which divides beer with tomato juice, with tomato juice from Nichinan Town. By breaking with tomato juice from Nichinan-cho, which has sweetness and depth, the bitterness of beer is eased, and it has a more fruity taste. The hotel also includes all-inclusive liquor and soft drinks at the buffet restaurant, so you can fully enjoy summer sake according to the cuisine.
