1. Strawberry picking that can be enjoyed on the hotel premises

On the premises of our hotel, there is our own farm "Strawberry Park" where you can enjoy strawberry picking while staying. The varieties to be cultivated are "Akihime", which is compatible with the soil and climate of Miyazu City. Miyazu City (Tango area) belongs to the climate of the Sea of Japan side, so it is a land suitable for cultivation of Akihime (*1) because it is relatively warm in winter. Large and soft pulp is characterized by its aroma, sweetness and low acidity. Since its opening, the hotel's dedicated staff has been working on cultivation with responsibility for seedling, care, and harvesting.

In strawberry picking, you can taste the sweetness of fresh strawberries and provide "strawberry sweets" limited to this plan to convey the deliciousness of strawberries. There are a total of 6 types of sweets, including mini tarts, pannacotta, and raw cakes with homemade strawberries, and you can enjoy bites at a time. In addition, sparkling with strawberries, cider with strawberries, and homemade strawberry my drink are also available, so if you choose one of them at the time of reservation and taste them together, you can feel the fruit and sweetness of strawberries even more.

"Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa" is a rare hotel in Japan with its own farm where you can enjoy strawberry picking on the premises. There used to be a tennis court in the place of Strawberry Park, but the utilization rate was decreasing due to changes in user base and purpose of stay. In order to make effective use of this space, not only guests but also local people can enjoy it, and the home farm "Strawberry Park" started as a way to spread the charm of Miyazu outside the prefecture.
