Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive resort hotel overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean from all guest rooms (Minabe-cho, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama Prefecture / General Manager: Kazunori Tanaka), will release two types of hands-on accommodation plans that even small children can enjoy with peace of mind for spring and large holidays.
In November 2025, our hotel was certified as a "welcome baby inn" as an accommodation facility that is friendly to babies and small children, and we propose a fishing experience plan at the Kata fishing pond in Toretre Park, a resort facility centered on West Japan's largest seafood market, about 30 minutes by car, and a shooting plan by professional photographers who leave your child's "only now" as recommended accommodation experiences for family trips in spring. We have prepared an experience that is perfect for making memories of your trip while being excited with the whole family.

Project background
This hotel is often used by families who visit the Nanki Shirahama area, and is surrounded by sightseeing spots such as Shirahama, Engetsu Island, Sandan Wall, Tenjinzaki, and Adventure World, and is blessed with nature and tourism resources. Taking advantage of this environment, we planned a plan with a fishing experience at the popular facility "Kata fishing pond in Toretore Park", which can be accessed by car from the hotel, with the desire to provide "an experience in which accommodation itself becomes a family memory". .

In addition, with the recognition of "Welcome Baby's Inn", we want to increase the value of staying where families with babies and small children can celebrate an anniversary with peace of mind. We will also develop a new kids photo plan.

Plan 1: Fishing Experience in Nanki Shirahama| It's OK with hands! Stay with a fun fishing pond experience <with evening breakfast>

This is an accommodation plan with a fishing experience at the Kata Fishing Hori in Toretore Park, which can be enjoyed safely by land. A set of fishing tools such as fishing rods and food are set, so even beginners and families with small children can easily participate empty-handedly. All the fish you catch can be taken home, and there are also fun lottery benefits that you can participate according to your fishing results.

This is an accommodation plan limited to one set per day that leaves your child's birthday and milestones by shooting by a professional photographer. A special shooting set is set up in the chapel where soft natural light shines, and the child's natural expression and gesture are carefully cut out in a shooting style that progresses while playing.
