[Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa] Create an original cycling course that runs through the magnificent scenery of Tottori and Oyama in cooperation with local cyclists. Started sales of cyclist-friendly accommodation plans

A two-day ride event will be held with a local cyclist who has won the Kaike Triathlon category.

Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa (Location: Hoki-cho, Saihaku-gun, Tottori Prefecture / General Manager: Masaya Oshiro), located at the foot of Daisen, Tottori Prefecture, has been worshiped as a sacred place for mountain worship since ancient times as a "Mountain of God". This course was created with the full advice of Jun Kanazawa, the owner of the local cycle shop "RICCO CYCLE" and who is also active as a triathlon and bicycle road racing player. On April 11, 2026, we will hold a step-up ride for those who aim for Kaike triathlon, etc., and on the 12th we will also hold an event of an original course announcement ride. The original course can be enjoyed freely as a permanent challenge course from April 13th, and accommodation plans for cyclists will be sold. We support comfortable cycling journeys such as bringing in guest rooms and installing maintenance stands.

Outline of Original Cycling Course

This is an original cycling course of about 27 kilometers, starting from our hotel, visiting Terrace The Daisen, Akamatsu View Observatory, Hakuroza, and Oyama Makibamiruku no Sato. After moving to Tottori Prefecture, we made use of the knowledge of Mr. Kanazawa, who has lived and worked in the area for more than 20 years, and designed it as a route where you can experience the nature and scenery unique to Oyama. You can visit the observation spots overlooking the Sea of Japan and the plateau area where ranch spreads, and there are cafes and rest spots where you can drop in on the way. This is a fun course that makes you want to take on the challenge of Tottori and Oyama. You can experience the charm of the Oyama area while feeling the exhilaration of running through the magnificent scenery.

【Profile of Mr. Jun Kanazawa】

Owner of the cycle shop "RICCO CYCLE". Born in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. After moving to Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture at the age of 24, he has been active as a triathlon and bicycle road racing player. Triathlon has been 23 years. In addition to winning the category at the Kaike Triathlon, he has a track record of 3rd place by Miyakojima triathlon age and 2nd place by age at the Iron Man Banthane tournament, and has participated in many domestic and overseas tournaments. In April 2022, the company opened RICCO CYCLE in Kofu-cho, Hino-gun, Tottori Prefecture. In addition to selling bicycles from competition to everyday use, we also develop cycle guides and event planning around Oyama. While making use of the competition experience, we are continuing to promote the appeal of bicycles in the community, create an exchange base for cyclists and triathletes, and revitalize the community by attracting customers to the Oyama area.

A ride event with Mr. Kanazawa will be held for two days on April 11 and 12.

 

On April 11, a step-up ride event will be held for those who want to improve their running ability, improve their practical skills, and those who are aiming for the "Kaike Triathlon" scheduled to be held in July. It runs about 60 kilometers from our hotel to Nakayama Onsen. Mr. Kanazawa will give careful lectures for beginners and those who aim to finish the race and those who aim to win the top prize.

On April 12, we will hold a premier ride to experience the course devised by Mr. Kanazawa. We will convey the charm of the original course while driving with the participants. With Mr. Kanazawa's accompanying you, you can not only give lectures on driving points and highlights of the course, but also navigation that considers safety, allows a wide range of generations to participate with peace of mind and enjoy a sense of accomplishment after the goal. Since support cars are running in line, there is little anxiety when you are forced to retire, etc., and even beginners cycling can participate.

How to enjoy the original cycling course

After the announcement on April 12, it will be a course where guests can challenge at any time. Photos of your favorite car and scenery at four photo spots. Customers who return to the hotel within the time limit and present their photos to the hotel staff will receive an original cycle bottle with the hotel logo.
