[Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa] Enjoy the winter of Oyama, Tottori Prefecture. "Snow Kids Park" where you can enjoy playing with snow without hands will open on February 1 on the hotel premises.

~ We prepare hands-on projects that can be enjoyed by the whole family, not just playing with snow, such as photo contests of art made with snow, lighting up handmade lanterns, and solving mysteries about Oyama ~

Surrounded by the magnificent nature of the Sea of Japan and Oyama, Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa (Location: Hoki-cho, Nishihaku-gun, Tottori Prefecture; General Manager: Masaya Oshiro) will open a Snow Kids Park on the hotel premises for winter only. Items that can be used for sledding and snowball fights are also available free of charge, so there is no need to move, and you can enjoy playing with snow immediately even if you visit the museum empty-handed. During the period, a dome tent inspired by a kamakura can be set up, and it can be used as a space for breaks and photography between playing in the snow. In addition to a photo contest in which art made of snow is photographed and participated, we have prepared hands-on activities unique to winter that can be enjoyed by the whole family, such as lighting up the snowy field with handmade paper lanterns and searching for treasures related to Oyama.

Point 1 Opens Snow Kids Park, a snow play area where you can participate empty-handed

"Snow Kids Park" has been newly opened with a snowy field that spreads behind the hotel. It is a vast snow play area of about 4,000 square meters where children can move around at ease. You can rent out items such as snowball making machines, scoops, buckets, sleds for free, so you can play with snow immediately after arrival without having to bring playground equipment or tools. You can enjoy yourself, such as making snowballs and fighting snowballs, making snow objects and mini kamakura using scoops and buckets, and sliding down the slopes with sleds. Not only children but also ADULTS can spend a time returning to childhood.

Period: February 1 (Sun) to February 28 (Sat), 2026
Time: 9:00~21:00

Point 2 A dome tent inspired by kamakura, where you can relax between playing in the snow

A dome tent with a diameter of 3.6 meters will be set up in a corner of the snow play area so that you can spend a warm time outdoors in cold winter. In the tent, blankets and cushions made of warm materials are prepared, and it is a special space where you can stay without worrying about the cold. The outer wall of the tent is made of transparent materials, so you can watch the children enjoy playing in the snow while relaxing nearby. On a snowy day, the outside of the tent is covered in white, making it look like you are in a kamakura, and it can be used as a photo spot where you can take a commemorative photo in the snow scenery. (* Depending on the weather conditions, the installation of the dome tent may be delayed.)

Point 3 Holds a participatory photo contest to leave snow art made by families in photos

Using rental items such as buckets and scoops, the whole family will create snow objects and art, and will hold a photo contest where you can participate by posting photos of the completed work on Instagram. Participants can photograph the work they created and leave memories of their families. In addition, prize-winning works will be selected from three sections: the comprehensive section, the local section that conveys the regional characteristics of Oyama, and the kids section for art by children. Winners in each category will receive gifts for each category, such as hotel accommodation vouchers, local souvenirs, and sweets sets.
