[Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa] Accredited as a "welcome baby inn" where you can stay safely for your baby's first time

In order to fulfill a safe trip to Wakayama for dads and moms, 2 types of rooms are enhanced with equipment and facilities for child-rearing families.

Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive resort hotel with views of the majestic Pacific Ocean from all guest rooms (Minabe-cho, Hidaka-gun, Wakayama Prefecture; General Manager: Kazunori Tanaka) was certified as a "welcome baby inn" by Miki House Child Care Research Institute Co., Ltd. on November 19, 2025.

Taking advantage of this certification, some rooms of "Superior Twin Ocean View" and "Classic Twin Family Room Japanese-Western Style Room" have been renovated so that the "first time" with the baby and the child-rearing family can enjoy their stay with peace of mind. We will newly provide "Family Superior Twin Ocean View" and "Standard Family Twin Ocean View" to support travel with babies.

The “welcome baby inn” certification refers to 100 certifications created based on the opinions of moms and surveys and research of experts for accommodation facilities that aim to enhance the acceptance system for customers with infants, Miki House Child Care Research Institute Certified staff will carry out certification work involving accommodation. Among them, facilities that have earned more than 70 points are certified as "welcome baby accommodations".

All rooms that have been certified as "Welcome Baby's Inn" are ocean views. We have a space where up to 4 people can stay in a spacious space of 31m2 or more. The rooms are equipped with special equipment, such as diaper trash cans and bed guards, so that you can spend comfortably with babies and small children, so that your family's journey can be more enjoyable and secure.

This room features a modern, cozy interior and calm design based on natural colors. Located on the high floor of the hotel, you can spend a relaxing time with your family while facing the Pacific Ocean spreading all over the window. The rooms are equipped with a cot.
