Project background
Minabe-cho, where Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe is located, is considered to be the birthplace of Minamikoume and is a quiet town with greenery as Japan's largest plum production area (*2). In addition, Senri Beach, about 10 minutes by car from the hotel, is known nationwide as a spawning ground for loggerhead turtles, and is recommended as a base for traveling to enjoy the beautiful nature of the mountains and seas.
Mercure Wakayama Kushimoto is located on a hill in Kushimotocho, the southernmost town of Honshu, where you can enjoy the magnificent Pacific Ocean and the natural monument Hashikui-iwa Rock from guest rooms, hot spring open-air baths, courtyards, etc.
