Background of service provision

As the travel style of pet tourism is expanding in recent years, Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa and Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa offer dog friendly rooms where you can stay with your dog.

There is a dog run on the hotel grounds in Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa where you can relax with your dog in a natural environment. In Mercure Kyoto Miyazu Resort & Spa, a new dog friendly room was established in June 2025. Nearby are yacht harbors and Amanohashidate, a tourist attraction, and it is recommended as a walking course where you can feel the comfortable sea breeze.

This time, with the cooperation of each company, we have introduced carefully selected dog goods for a limited time at two hotels with a fulfilling environment for their dogs, in order to deliver even more comfortable accommodation experiences.

Introduction of Dog Goods

Special items are prepared in the guest room to create a high-quality stay space to spend with your dog. For guests staying in pet friendly rooms, with the cooperation of a total of 5 companies, you can experience products for pets that have earned high praise both in Japan and overseas. Products you like during your stay can be purchased on the spot and delivered to your home.

After a walk in the vicinity of the hotel, use Lion Pet's "Pet Beauty Foam Rinse In Shampoo" to remove dirt on your feet in a dedicated washroom attached to the dog run. After returning to the room, dry it coolly in the home run pet dryer house, and nourished with "Pet Suet" as aftercare after dry. You can eat snacks as gifts from the hotel and sleep well in the large pet lounge (bed) for large dogs. The brushing time after dinner at night removes plaque and refreshes your mouth by using the PETKISS brushing sheet of Lion Pet, which is promoting the “PetKISS brushing habitation project for dogs”.
